Thank you for the question, Alberta!

Briefly, my comparison of the “Euromaidan” and “Antimaidan” facebook pages demonstrates that the former page was a place for both Russian and Ukrainian language, while the latter one was a place for Russian language.

Even if one reads a Ukrainian post in “Euromaidan” it is most likely to find comments in both Russian and Ukrainian there (more in Russian).
A minority of Ukrainian comments in “Antimaidan” were written by proukrainian individuals who came there to “fight” about something or to spam.

Influence of (pro-Western) social media is exaggerated in Ukraine. VKontake (controlled by Putin’s regime since early 2014) has 20 mn. registered users in Ukraine compared to 3 mn. for Facebook.

Thank you for a very successful first panel of the conference. Looking forward to hear other speakers!
The format of video presentations is very handy! to some extent it resembles poster sessions when one can briefly present their findings and search easily for the relevant audience if not coauthors =)
